Talking pens a new resource

These talking sticks are mini recorders that look like a microphone and record the children talking or singing, the file is then uploaded to the computer and the children can listen to themselves. Coloured balls in the water

A Teacher set up the water in the trough and put several plastic balls inside it which had been given to us during the morning – the children chose a different coloured ball each, and I asked them to pick up as many as they could manage to hold onto – we then counted together

Monkey's In The Jungle

  We took just the children (without equipment) to the vicarage playground on Friday, and as usual, they found their own style of play – it appeared for some, to be ‘Monkey’s in the Jungle’  –  great listening to them communicating with each other only with non-verbal cues.

Trip to the City Gallery Wellington

A explosion of sensory sound and sight instruments awaited the children as we entered the area in which this incredible art/music exhibition was housed. There were interactive musical instruments and also an area which we looked at in awe, no touching allowed. There was a station where ear muffs were used and the children watched
